The white grace
The white color has a long history with religion. White is considered pure and Holy. Nothing could be further from the truth. In a church wedding, the bride wears a white gown to symbolize her purity in marriage. This has been a tradition for ages and it is not about to change soon. People also wear white clothes (although it’s not compulsory) during baptism. It is to symbolize the beginning of a Holy life after being baptized. It is an open secret how the church regards white color highly. Is there a connection between the color white and divinity? Yes, of course, there is and there is scripture to support the same. Mary Magdalene saw two angels dressed in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been laid. This was on the third day after Jesus had been resurrected. Again, John touches on white in the book of Revelation addressing the church in Sardis.
He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.” Revelation 3:5 (RSV)
The white color signifies divine purity and Holiness. Nothing can be hidden in white color. A little dirt is easily noticed in white color than it is in other colors. This is the white grace!
The Holiness of God
There is no doubt about the Holiness of God. In the whole scripture, He distances himself from Sin, even the human race after the fall of the first man. He later reunites with the human race after Christ’s coming. Apostle Peter refers to Jesus “as a lamb without blemish or defect.” God is as Holy as the white color. Pure, spotless, and clean. For you to see God, you should be as Holy-white as Him. This is not impossible but a work in progress.
Bridging the gap
In His wisdom, God has assigned you a helper to help you dress in White so that you may be as pure as him. This helper is the Archangel Gabriel. He is also God’s messenger on special assignments and he has always delivered on his mandate. He is principally there to bridge the gap between you and God and take you closer to Him.
1. Good news is coming your way!
Among the benefits of donning white is receiving good news from God. Mary, Jesus’ mother, drew closer to God when Archangel Gabriel appeared to Her and announced the birth of Jesus. Mary was a virgin and had maintained sexual purity until then. This must be what attracted God to Mary to give her the honor of being the Messiah’s birth mother.
Zechariah & Elizabeth who were childless and advanced in years received good news about the birth of John. God testifies about their righteousness.
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” Luke 1:6 (RSV).
2. God shall use you!
Donning in white attracts God to you and He promises to use you for His work. Having the honor of serving God is such a great privilege that you cannot afford to miss. Jesus told his disciples that many great men in history have longed to have the experience that they (disciples) had but did not get that honor. For you & I to get this honor, we must be clad in white and He shall take us as His own.
If anyone purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house, ready for any good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21 (RSV).
3. You shall bear fruit of the Holy Spirit
When you are in white, you already identify yourself with the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit of God shall guide you on your life on earth and you shall begin to bear His fruits. God, through the Holy Spirit, shall be there with you always to guide you through Holiness after you have decided to be clad in white. Yours is to decide and God shall see you through from there.
The Archangel Gabriel, God’s chief messenger, is also assigned to you to guide you in your new life of holiness. As you bear fruits, you mature spiritually and your place in the Kingdom is assured. With His aid, you become a role model to unbelievers who will want to be clad in white like you. The Lord shall expand your blessings as you continue bearing fruits. All thanks to the blessed Archangel Gabriel who held your hand all through.
Connecting with the white Archangel
Connecting with your Angel of Holiness is important because He leads you to God. Heaven is full of worship about God’s Holiness. This is seen in the book of Revelation as John writes.
And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing,
Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come!” Revelation 4:8 (RSV)
You can connect to heavenly worship while you are still on earth by deepening your relationship with the Archangel Gabriel. This is how to do it:
1. Recognize Archangel Gabriel in your life.
All the people to whom He appeared to did recognize Him as God’s Angel. When Zechariah doubted His word, God made him dumb until baby John was born. Therefore, do not neglect him and his work in your life. Believe in his message and it shall always be well with you.
2. Use His color code when praying.
As you do in all other prayers, use Archangel Gabriel’s color code when praying if you want to bring Him closer to you. You can have a white rosary or have His image before you as you pray. He will see that you need Him and shall quickly come to your service.
Make it your personal decision to dress in white so that you may approach the throne of Grace. Holiness should be your new lifestyle if you want to draw nearer to God.
